The Front Man

Posted by
mr.Lou (Salt Lake City, United States) on 15 September 2010 in Documentary & Street.

Abas, a Kuwait native, is a friendly young man. His constant smile and jokes are paradoxical to the raw energy of frustration and fight that is expressed through his vocals. Abas writes songs about emotional pain and the struggles to overcome. Abas is the driving force behind B13A. He is also the primary promoter of this type of show in Kuwait.

It is hard and it does not always end well, but a love for music and a desire to change the status quo help to motivate Abas and the members of B13A to promote the ritual of live music in a land that generally forbids it.

this great! so hard for me to imagine this kind of thing to be illegal. i should be thankful then that i live in a country where i could go see a band like this play every night of the week if i so wished.
